Indications/Uses
Infections of the resp tract, GIT, GUT, otitis media.
Dosage/Direction for Use
TabAdult & childn >12 yr 2 tab twice daily. Max: 2 tab thrice daily. SyrChildn 6-12 yr 2 tsp, 6 mth-5 yr 1 tsp, 6 wk-5 mth ½ tsp. All doses are to be taken twice daily. Forte capletAdult & childn >12 yr 1 caplet twice daily. Max: 1 caplet thrice daily.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Severely impaired hepatic or renal function; hypersensitivity to sulfonamides, blood dyscrasias. Porphyria. Pregnancy & lactation. Infant <2 mth.
Special Precautions
Patients w/ folic acid deficiency, poor nutritional status or G6PD deficiency. Elderly & patients w/ reduced kidney function.
